When is the Club on?

This will be starting on Wednesday 9th October, and every week on a Wednesday evening – 7pm – 9pm

Is there a cost?

There are likely to be charges for the venue. There will be a small charge of £5 each (cash only) to cover this each meeting.

What is the format?

At the moment, it’s all still work in progress, however we envisage there will be an announced subject for the meeting, and there will be a presentation for approximately 1.5 hours (ish) on that subject.  After that there will be a Q & A session on the subject. 

Do I need to take notes?

Thats up to you, but we will normally send participants a copy of the notes after the meeting for reference.

I dont like crowds - Is there a 1-1 option

Yes, we can come to your house with a laptop and give you a 1-1 training session. This would be chargeable – drop us an email at help@grantowncomputerclub.co.uk and we will be in touch with more details

How do i know what the particular course subject is going to be?

Just join the Facebook Page and we will notify everyone in advance of when / what and where

Where is the club held?

The club will be at the Grantown Hub in the centre of the village (the old Hydro Electric showroom)

How long is the club meeting?

At the moment, it’s all still work in progress, however we envisage it will be once a week (Wednesday) for 2 Hours 7pm – 9pm

Do I need to book attendance at the meeting?

No – just turn up 🙂

Do I need to bring my own laptop?

You don’t need to, as the presentation course will be presented to a large screen. 

How do you decide what courses are to be run?

Initially the courses will be led from the surveys, but ongoing we will be running a poll on our Facebook page regularly to identify the most popular courses. We will try to accomodate everyone and not duplicate courses often.

What will be the content of the courses?

You can find a list of course content on the Facebook page under events. This will all be subject to change as we learn what works and what doesn’t 🙂 There is also a general course content page on this website to give you an idea of options.
